Our family has finally recovered from more than a week-long stomach bug that was probably norovirus. For most of us, the actual sickness didn’t last for more than a day or two (thank God!) but it took a while getting through four kids and two parents.
After breakfast this morning, my oldest son noticed that his younger sister wasn’t feeling well. She recently had the stomach flu, so she was resting on the couch and sipping ginger ale until she felt better.
This morning we didn’t go to church because of a stomach bug that has been slowly working its way through our family. Instead, I decided to look up a sermon online for our family to watch. For much of my life, I’ve allowed “entertainment” to have some room to grow; it’s OK to indulge in entertainment as long as it doesn’t get out of hand. In college, I stopped playing video games because I saw what a waste of time they were. But I still indulge in an iPhone game every so often…
Tonight was date night, and after dinner at a Mexican restaurant, my wife and I decided that a drive to our local IKEA was in order. We thought their dining area would be a great place to sit down and play a board game together.
We took our kids to the Children’s Museum of Denver today; all four had lots of fun in the Art Studio with paint. We took home these original pieces of artwork
Over the last few weeks, we’ve had more rain in our area of Colorado, which has caused the grass to grow quickly. So tonight was mowing night.
